I am always focusing on improving my morning routine. Right now I am really trying to not pick up my phone first thing in the morning- which is so hard to do but I swear I’m going to nail this down. I believe its so important and makes you less reactive, and starts your day with a clear head. I’m working on replacing that with mediation, journaling in the five minute journal, spending time with my fur babies, and making a fizz or matcha! Then I like to get a workout in- which has been harder in my first trimester- so what used to look like 5 days a week is more like 2 maybe 3 now this happens. I’m currently loving Tammy Hembrow’s fitness app and her pregnancy program and going for walks with my husband at night!
This focuses on 6 or 7 tasks for the day that are priority. This helps me stay focused and on track on what needs to be done for the day. My mantra right now is Win the day. Small wins each day add up to big ones!
I make sure every single day I’m reading or listening to an audible book. I also listen to a podcast everyday! I think this may be the most important part, because 99% of business is your mindset, in my opinion. Some of my favorite podcasts right now are Edmylette, The Skinny Confidential and The Blonde Files. I’m currently reading ” The Almanack by Naval Ravikant” and “Bringing up Bébé by Pamela Druckerman”.
It’s so important to set work hours and have a working space that inspires you. One thing I found with owning a business and working from home, its extremely hard to shut off. I’m really working on only working during the work hours I set. This is a boundary I want to have when the baby comes – rest and time to unplug is essential for you to get creative, and really strategize on how to scale and level up. Also to avoid burnout! This is something I’m currently working on everyday to get better at, one thing thats really helped is I created my dream office and it inspires me to get work done and I only go in there when it’s time to WORK. Having a space that inspires you and helps you focus is KEY.
Know what drives you, why your doing what you do, so on the hard days you can push through and stay focused and always keep disciplined, you won’t always be motivated but if you stay disciplined and you keep you remember your why, you will keep going and reach your goals.
Get a spray tan or a blowout- Those are my favorite things to get to feel my best. When you feel your best you’ll show up as your best. Don’t forget to prioritize yourself and self care.
